Boast Site Services Ltd have completed an upgrade to both the suction/ inlet and discharge/ outlet pipework together with a new motor support to a pit mounted silt pump.
Previously the inlet pipework had the tendency to block due to poor suction arrangement and there was no means to isolate the pump for maintenance. A duty increase also necessitated a larger motor which could not be mounted on the existing support that currently flexed!
HDPE pipework was utilised where possible for excellent wear resistance, ease of handling and installation, plus a very cost effective solution.
Existing arrangements were as follows;
New arrangement, fully adjustable motor support, preferred sump suction and isolating valve;
